Cataclismo

 

Cada vez que en tormentoso trance

Nuestros enfurecidos egos se enfrentan

Mil centellas desgarran el empíreo

Y nuestra cólera hace crujir el éter

 

En los oscuros limbos abisales

Sumergidos volcanes se despiertan

Escupiendo nitrógeno y azufre

El suelo se estremece y el agua hierve

Como si Poseidón, en su más terrible ira

El mundo entero hiciera perecer

 

Y bajo el cielo increpante

Negras tempestades de rabia

Sin clemencia azotan la indefensa superficie

 

Tú y yo, avatares profanos

Absortos en nuestra lucha

Arrasando sin piedad

Enteros imperios de esplendor

Tan grandiosos para el hombre

Pero tan insignificantes 

Ante los ciegos ojos de los dioses

 

 

Of gods and man

 

The gods are cruel.

 

They have stripped me

Of my worthiness.

Every gift I was blessed with

They took away from me

And cast me down

From the sacred Empyrean

Where I once dwelled.

 

They threw me in the mud

And forsook me to die

In this accursed world

Scorned and anathematized

Condemned to live

Amongst the vilest

Most wretched race

They themselves ever created

With the sole purpose

Of punishing any being

Who dared to defy them.

 

The gods are wicked.

 

Their souls are hollow

Hearts full of conceit.

Nothing but arrogance

Fills their putrid temples

Swarmed by servile cripples

And the darkest spite

Feeds the flames upon their altars.

 

The gods are vain.

 

So called “gods”

Selfish and envious

At the dawn of time

Man created them.

But they betrayed him

And cast him down

From his own throne.

 

The gods are treacherous.

 

Long back since then

Enslaved by their lies

Miserable and ruined

Degraded and corrupted

Man crawls upon this earth

For all eternity.

 

The gods are ruthless.

 

They sheared his wings

Cropped his tongue

And spayed his sex.

The gods have no bodies

Nor tongue, nor sex

Emotionless

The gods don’t cry

The gods don’t laugh

The gods don’t bleed

The gods don’t live.

They only punish man

For having what they crave.

 

 

 

 

 

The gods are dead.

 

I am my own god

And my own slave

I am my own temple

And my own tomb.

For ever and ever.

 

Amen.

 

 

Evocación

 

Mis trémulos ojos contemplan

La verde silueta del norte

Y mi mente viaja a ti.

Imaginariamente escapo

De la pérfida ciudad

Para perderme en esos insondables valles.

 

Las arriesgadas cumbres

Donde sólo existes tú.

Vertiginosos desfiladeros donde manan

Los prístinos manantiales de tus lágrimas.

 

Celosas nubes guardan tus cumbres

Cual hieráticos y enhiestos centinelas

Prohibiendo a indignos ojos mancillar

El milagro de tu augusta desnudez.

Mas tú te yergues, majestuosa

Rasgando el cielo en una herida.

 

Desde el mísero reino de los seres mortales

Sueño con perderme para siempre

En los empíreos de tu alma inmaculada.
